Rachelle Gardner, literary agent - Rachelle is a US based literary agent and she regularly posts really great articles all about how to pitch, how to get a literary agent, and how to get published. Humans of New York – I’ve been following this page for a few years now and its photos and stories are just the thing to inspire and prompt writing ideas. It’s real people from New York and around the world who are all photographed by the same man, the incredible Brandon, who seems to have a gift for capturing the very essence of people in a single photo, and somehow convinces them to share their innermost hopes, dreams and fears with all of us. I’ve been inspired to write characters based on these people and because there are new extraordinary ordinary people every day to inspire you in life not just in writing, I think this one is a must.

The Writer’s Circle – what I love the most about this page is their lists! You can find a list for just about anything here. Whether you want fifty ways to say “said” or fifty ways to show anger with body language, it’s all here. Great tool for deep editing where you want perfect sentences and richer writing.
